Sabinal, Texas
Handmade tortillas, slow-braised meats, and recipes that have lived in our family for generations — right here on Fisher Avenue.
Our Story
Nora's Tacos wasn't built on a business plan — it was built at a kitchen table, with flour on the counter and a notebook full of recipes that nobody wanted to lose. What started as weekend cooking for neighbors and friends became something the whole town leaned on.
Every tortilla is pressed by hand. Every salsa is roasted to order. We don't rush the process because the people who come through our door deserve the kind of food that takes its time.
If you're passing through Sabinal or you've lived here your whole life, pull in. We'll have a seat for you.
The Craft
We press every tortilla by hand, from nixtamalized corn dough. It's the difference between a taco that holds together and one that doesn't — and between food that tastes like a restaurant and food that tastes like it was made by someone who cares.
The meats are prepared in small batches. The salsas are roasted, not blended from a jar. The lime comes from the produce section, not a bottle. None of this is complicated. It just takes the time it takes.
